PROJECT OVERVIEW
Girls on Track was a concept I developed as a part of the "Experiencing Brands Through Interaction Design" course at the School of Visual Arts. It is a conference for women in motorsports aimed at inspiring increased diversity within every aspect of the industry – from driving, and engineering; to management, data analytics, and beyond. This event would serve as an educational and networking opportunity as well as a chance for attendees to showcase their talents in front of important industry representatives.
LOGO DESIGN
The Girls on Track logo evolved from ideas of speed, moving forward, and notable racing motifs. Inspired by vintage racing logos and sponsorship stickers, the intention was for this logo to evoke a nostalgic, retro-feel of old-school racing. This logo was designed to be dynamic and adapt to different contexts and layout needs. The bright neon colors of the final logo become the foundation of the brand, paired with black and creme. This combination of elements conjures up an idea of historic racing yet coalesce in an identity that stands out in our modern digital age.
